I thank you guys alot. I have been searching the web for set-up opinions. Addressing of storage and the set of registers you have to work with are greatly increased by using a 64-bit OS. Wake up Creative! 64-bit Vista has a bit less driver support than 32-bit but if you're not going to run 64-bit then there's hardly any point in Vista.

I bought my father a Athlon II 250 based E-Machines system with 4GB of Ram and a 320GB hard drive a month ago for $125.00 off kijiji.... But that is the way it is, that is why it is called Beta. Now I borrowed another gig of memory and like I thought it affected the performance but not how one would want it too.
I also installed the Nvidia firewall, which besides the memory I felt this may be the reason the system is bogged down. I originally thought it maybe the cheap corsair ram, although low latency, it is the value select line, but it did work well in my 754 Socket 3700+ with ASUS K8VSE SSD would really give you a nice boost in performance. Must be in that order to avoid conficts between the BIOS and latest chipset drivers.Also, here is a great little tool to use when dealing with Nvidia and ATI drivers.
