Even Microsoft finally reccomended that autoplay be disabled on XP machines. (Though I seem to be having trouble finding the link to that recommendation at the moment). Locate and then click the following registry subkey:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRomDouble-click Autorun and see whether a zero or a one is displayed in the Value data box.
